If I lived in France .............

....... I would only buy food from farmers and little shops. I would have three friends, at first, because that is how many people I know in France right now. But I would make more friends and become more "French". And if the French people don't like it, then, well, that's their problem. But I would be happy - with my three friends. And I would cook for them.

  1. yes, you don't need more friends than you can count on one hand here. They are faithful and present and don't seek more than that in you. Beyond this, the food, the wine, the lovely hikes, the beautiful little streets... it has its moments.

  2. It's indeed a great pleasure to live in la France profonde. In the fields around my house are grown the wheat for my bread, the colza for my (US: canola) oil, eggs, goat cheese, veggies, apples and pears. From which (plus plenty of other stuff) I like to think I turn out some great meals for me and my friends. La vie est belle!
